Real endless heat resistance felts are special needle felts, which are developed and produced especially for high temperature applications. They are used widely in aluminum extruding process to substitute wood strip and plumbago. They also have their own quality of predominance with good temperature and abrasion resistance, and dont scratch aluminum profile. Fiber for felt
- PBO:
Temperature resistance: continues: 400 ℃ peaks: 660 ℃. The material will lose weight, turn brown, and reduce its self life if it is exposed to high temperature aluminum profile (about 600 ℃) for a period of time (longer than 10 minutes). PBO is thermo setting material and therefore, it will not pollute the aluminum profile. - Kevlar:
Temperature resistance: continues: 250 ℃ peaks: 500 ℃. The material will lose weight, turn brown, and reduce its self life if it is exposed to high temperature aluminum profile (about 500 ℃) for a period of time (longer than 10 minutes). Kevlar is thermo setting material and therefore, it will not pollute the aluminum profile. - Nomex:
Temperature resistance: continues: 200 ℃ peaks: 280 ℃. The material will lose weight, turn brown, and reduce its self life if it is exposed to high temperature aluminum profile (about 250 ℃) for a period of time (longer than 10 minutes).However, Nomex is thermo setting material and therefore, it will not pollute the aluminum profile. - Polyester:
The highest temperature resistance of this material is 200 ℃. The material will melt and pollute the aluminum profile if the temperature of the aluminum is higher than 200 ℃. Tension Member
